Analytics Manager

About the role:

unybrands is seeking an exceptional Analytics Manager to lead the research and data analytics team. The Analytics Manager will report directly into the CTO and will support the business through transformational insights that drive marketing, supply chain, brand and product strategy.. As Analytics Manager, you will build a high-performing team of data analysts, researchers, data scientists, and business intelligence engineers.

You will develop people, form strong working partnerships with business and technology leaders, plan and execute analytical roadmaps, formulate analytical strategies for solving business problems, and develop strategies to scale the impact of data through development of self-service analytical programs.

You should have superb analytical, technical, business and communication skills to be able to work with business and technology leaders to define and prioritize key business questions, build data acquisition processes, data sets, statistical models and analyses that answer those questions. This role requires an individual with exceptionally strong quantitative modeling skills and experience using statistical methods to produce actionable business insights.

Responsibilities include-but not limited to:

  • Build and lead a team of high-caliber data analysts, researchers, data scientists, and business intelligence engineers

  • Partner with CTO to define, prioritize, and execute analytics initiatives

  • Liaise with other functional leaders in Growth, Supply Chain, Investment & Integration and E-Commerce & Marketing to identify data needs and create robust dashboards and reporting tools to meet them

  • Incorporate multiple data sources and methodologies to find opportunities to drive efficiency in the unybrands acquisition, integration, and operation processes

  • Evaluate opportunities to draw actionable insights from Amazon and other marketplaces to integrate into unybrands tech stack

  • Coach and support analytics team, and guide them toward personal and professional development

  • Instill a strong sense of teamwork and empowerment amongst the analytics team, ensuring that unybrands’ values are distilled to all team members

A successful team member will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence or other quantitative disciplines

  • Masters degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline.

  • 3+ years of analytical people management experience

  • Deep experience developing successful analytics-based solutions to business problems

  • Proven track record of solving ambiguous and highly complex data problems.

  • Strong statistical skills and high attention to detail

  • Experience working with Amazon preferred

  • Exceptional leadership and verbal/written communication skills

  • Extensive consumer industry knowledge
