Director of Analytics

About the role:

unybrands is seeking a Director of Analytics who will play a pivotal role in establishing the vision, strategic priorities, and objectives to grow our platform. This is a leadership role and provides an opportunity to help execute our strategy to build a data-driven platform to scale brands we acquire and build BI and analytics across our organization. In order to be successful, you will build a team of high-performers, marketing partners, tech teams, and external partners.

Responsibilities include-but not limited to:

  • The leader will focus on building a data gathering and measurement framework using 1st party and 3rd party data solutions and developing a close partnership with business stakeholders

  • Build solutions to understand the impact of buying brands and their growth potential through, but not limited to, product expansion, marketplace analysis, marketing potential, pricing, and inventory

  • Build grounds up operating models to understand customer search behavior, competition analysis on marketplaces, price elasticity, and inclemently of advertising/promotions resulting in actionable operating insights

  • Build tools to support supply chain and marketing teams to better coordinate on a day-to-day basis and ensure that data-driven decisions are made

  • Build reporting and analysis infrastructure and own the executive reporting process

  • Provide strategic inputs and actionable insights into operations and organization initiatives

  • Build a world-class BI & Analytics team

A successful team member will have:

  • 6+ years of experience in business analytics, with a focus on online marketing and/or e-commerce operations

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree in relevant field (statistics, mathematics, engineering, finance, etc.) preferred

  • Advance understanding of SQL, experience in Python or R preferred

  • Experience with big data environments such as Google BigQuery

  • Experience in experiment design, analysis, and modeling

  • Experience in leading and building teams

  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders

  • Entrepreneurial/innovative approach-should be able to balance between short-term demands and long-term needs
