Logistics Manager

About the role:

We are looking for a results-oriented individual to drive all aspects of cross-functional projects within our team. This individual will be expected to quickly ramp up on the end-to-end logistics and supply chain processes, and provide clear structure and oversight to new initiatives. This individual will be expected to solve complex issues, establish patterns and practices, and own regional logistics operation, system, and automation. Drive the excellence of key KPIs, refine the whole end-to-end supply chain process. Key responsibilities will include owning and representing the Supply Chain team during highly visible and often critical projects related to logistics optimization and process improvement in initiatives of operational and technical nature.

We seek a passionate, results-oriented, data and analytic person to join our Supply Chain team. You will be responsible to optimize our complex and expanding fulfillment network.

Responsibilities include-but not limited to:

  • Own quality of operations, drive improvement projects, standardize SOPs that impact cost and productivity metrics such as cost per unit, delivery efficiency

  • Build solid relationships with cross-functional teams and Logistics service providers ensuring smooth process flow and collaboration

  • Define and manage the execution of operations - from inception through delivery - leveraging functional knowledge of supply chain topology

  • Collect data on existing processes; analyze to discover areas of defects or inefficiencies, escalations

  • Drive and deliver opportunities for improvements and team projects

  • Manage critical escalations arising in the logistics network to reduce customer impact

  • Foresee business risks and proactively identify risk mitigation mechanisms

  • Critical thinking and dare to challenge the old process, try new initiatives with data proven, and influence the internal team and external stakeholders to move the projects forward

  • Conduct the regular weekly/monthly/quarterly analysis to find out the root cause and action plan

  • Convert the data report to the feasible actionable plan for improvements. Set up a mechanism to manage the KPIs and continuous improvements

  • Identify the internal team opportunities for efficiency improvement, automation to replace manual work. Best practice sharing and drive the operation excellent

  • This role plays a key logistics expert role to manage shipments and meet the customer’s requirements. Troubleshoot customs or logistics issues in China and other Asia countries

  • Manage vendors and 3PL’s performances, and are able to find solutions to get cost-saving & shorten the lead time as well as comply with all necessary regulations

  • Manage logistics operation process with suppliers: Coordinate among destinations, 3PL, and vendors for troubleshooting; Conduct regular and qualitative business-case analyses to improve the operation process; Assist in setting up operation process with new vendors

A successful team member will have:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Logistics or related field

  • Relevant work experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or manufacturing with an emphasis on driving process excellence, Kaizen, etc.

  • Experience working with international Forwarder, Retail, and/or Operations/Logistics companies

  • Familiarity with supply chain management concepts - Forecasting, Planning, Optimization, Logistics

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA, Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, operations research, mathematics, or other quantitative disciplines

  • Experience managing multiple, competing for priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to simplify complex topics and present to broad audiences

  • Experience using Six Sigma or Lean practices to optimize supply chain or operations processes

  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries
